D: ?! What were you hospitalized for, if it okay to ask? I hope you're feeling a whole lot better now and that you're on the road to recovery. Yay for really nice doctors and nurses though - they definitely help make staying in the hospital a whole lot more bearable! And in your case, they must have been super, super kind since you felt like it was almost like a holiday. Yay for cheap/affordable healthcare too.

Also, is it weird for me to be slightly envious that you got to muck around the woods? Because idk the Japanese forest/park I got to trudge around for 2 hours was kind of fun! Sorta... granted, it wasn't just through 100% mud all the time, so maybe that's why.

Anyway, take care of yourself, dear! Sending good vibes and thoughts your way always ♥

HEY CHARLIE. I got hospitalised because of uh severe intestinal inflammation, and the doctor wanted to find out just how severe it was so I had get a terrifyingly thorough endoscopy done. I feel much much better, and the medication I got has pretty much stopped all symptoms, and the doctors and nurses were so so so nice it was really like a cheap and sweet vacation. God bless national insurance, is all I can say c:

lmao yeah man the forests here are like so well-behaved compared to Malaysia with the snakes and the monkeys and the ceaseless mud. Mostly we've just done weeding, but I have seen pheasants in the area and they caught a goddamn tanuki on camera so that's pretty cool! (not so cool: getting up in time for birdwatching at 6 in the morning)

THANKS AS ALWAYS CHARLIE u r a genuine star <3

Late happy new year! Hope school and activities and volunteering and researching and family and health have all been good! I was going to reply to your previous reply much earlier, but the end of last year was just a hot mess for me, and at this point none of that is timely anymore, so. :p (Where are you hanging out online nowadays? I don't really social media, but I could keep up with anything you post about if it's somewhere anon comments are allowed =) Oh dear, I should really just get LINE to work, shouldn't I?)

I like how you think! 2017 is pretty awesome already because you’re around! <333 Eeeek, fingers crossed for you that the semester is a manageable nightmare, but yay for the research proposal!!!! (In my personal experience with research proposals, I’ve found the couple of things that usually hold true are: 1) don’t sweat perfecting the draft overly much because it’ll prolly look completely different once the professor’s done anyways, and 2) if it comes back with no changes and vague assurances about “oh no, it’s great, just perfect, it’s almost done, etc.”, the professor probably never even read it and there’ll likely be a whole bunch of pre-deadline last minute editing going on once they do…) (And the few times where they never did read it and just told me to submit, it didn’t really go over well with the review committees, so! All in all, it sounds like your proposal is in pretty good shape and right where it needs to be ( ... )

few things are so satisfying as long-lasting relationships hella full of affection, so i for one sure can't complain. the proposal came back with suggestions for further clarification, but not a whole lot of criticism. then again, i'm only gonna start my final year in april, so maybe the teacher isn't taking it too seriously yet. i keep losing my head and adding bits and pieces to it, resulting in way the fuck more things i want to do than could reasonably be done by one person, but here we are ( ... )
