It wasn't the toughest thing in the world, surely. He didn't think himself a complete idiot, but just his high school qualifications had been enough for this job.

"Dominic batted one out of the way with a traffic cone, but it was close, too close. Eris is tending to him, they're both below the under-carriage."
Marque nodded at Margaret. Eris and Dominic were in as safe a location as could be expected, right now. He winced when a chunk of burning asphalt left a dent in the metal roof.
"How're we on reinforcements?"
"Seph and I were trying to call as many people as we could, but he only got to 'British Telecom' before he ran out of credit. I'm slogging my way through, but the police are pretty far down the list."
Their dark-haired leader swore. "I told him to get a better phone plan! But can't you skip over the non-essentials right to P? Your mother cannot help us now, Mar
