It's weird not going into an office every day, or having a steady paycheck, but I have to say, I really don't miss dealing with the office politics and general BS that goes on in my (former) division. I used to be in a band and worked in a warehouse. When the band broke up, I became warehouse manager. Then the big financial crisis happened, and corporate shut down our facility and laid everyone off. It was the -best- thing that ever happened to me. I had kept trying to go to school (tuition reimbursement, they said!) but never had the chance due to my schedule. As I enter my senior year in college this fall, I am SO thankful I got laid off, because otherwise I know I would probably still be in that damn warehouse.
