As happy as I am, I was a bit surprised too. Then I figured that 1) Kiriyan is a pretty popular nibante in her own right, and 2) MiiMai is an extremely popular show. I don't know if this version will sell as well as the Daigekijou one, but I guess someone at Hankyu decided that they would make their money back if they released a DVD version. And I'm certainly not complaining!

I'm sure that there will be a version on Sky Stage. However keeping with tradition it probably will not be aired until a year after senshuraku.

Maybe there will be some bonus scenes of the role switch on the DVD...? *hopes* I cold never choose between Maski!Jacki and Masaki!Gerald. I'd want both. :P

And yeah, I want both as well. I wouldn't be surprised either if there was some kind of digest, although generally extras on non-Daigekijou shows seem to be limited to rehearsal digests. I guess we'll see.

*shakes fist* There WILL be Ai-chan!legs in their complete form on Sky Stage next year. As it stands, the digest they included on the DVD was entirely way too short.

I agree with you completely about musumeyaku rights, but unfortunately due to the way these things usually go, it was an honor for Ai-chan to be the first musumeyaku to have the opportunity to play Jackie. I don't like what that says about the system, but I'm really, really glad that Hankyu decided to give Ai-chan the opportunity.
