So it is Marimo.  Well, frankly, I can live with that.  I don't think she and Kiriyan are going to be my next One True Pairing, but I liked her well enough in the Pimpernel shinko and in Kean.

I mean, I would have much preferred Alice or Nacchan.  Not to mention Ai-chan.  But compared to a lot of the other choices that were being speculated about,

I saw her in Legend ver. 2 and she really struck me with her strength - I've the feeling that if she'd debuted a decade earlier, she would have been otokoyaku. I think she'll make a good pair with Kiriyan :)

I think my only real objection is that she's 164 centimeters.

*g* I was just complaining the other day about people who get all worked up about the need for otokoyaku/musumeyaku height differences.

Touko and Asuka are nearly the same height, which is obvious in a lot of their pair dances and publicity photos if you stop and look, but they made a great pairing. The important part is having the skill to fill the otokoyaku or musumeyaku "role".

Anyway, with all of the speculation that tsukigumi might get Pimpernel, I'm glad that we have a top who can pull off Marguerite.

Yes, definitely. And given that "Yukariko" doesn't have a large lead musumeyaku role, I was starting to get worried.

And I really don't mean to sound like I'm complaining about Marimo. Even though it wasn't my personal favorites who were promoted, I'm sure she'll do fine, and as a Kiriyan fan I can't ask for much more.

She's had a number of smaller show leads and shinko leads in hoshi. I don't know her extremely well, but I have memories of being impressed with her in the Pimpernel shinjinkouen. I think she'll do a competent job <3
