[the Dreamberry is propped up against something, offering a view of Draco's side. It's an interesting sort of angle - he's clearly set it up purposefully, but there's something not quite right about the angle. He sits at a grand piano in what looks to be the foyer of Malfoy Manor, fingers poised over the keys before he begins to play a concertoRead more... )

[As the teenager's dear friend and as an experienced medical doctor, it isn't that difficult at all to realize that something is incredibly off with young Draco Malfoy. But whether Naomi can recognize exactly what is hindering him or not is up for debate. She has the polite tact to not address it or the obvious.

Not yet at least.]

Your parents must be so happy to see you returned to them, Draco. [Though she hasn't exactly been a mother in real time, two alternative lifetimes of having children has given the woman a taste of just how difficult it truly was to lose her own flesh and blood. Lucius and Narcissa's pain at dealing with Draco's death had been heart-wrenching.]

[he leaves video on - what harm will it really do? - even though his eyes are focused elsewhere; he seems to be listening intently to the sound of her voice.]

Doubtless. [whether he knows what exactly happened is still up in the air - he seems wary, his voice almost shaky when he replies. Like he doesn't know what happened, what day it is, or why he can't see.] I imagine I'll be confined to the house for the next long while.

[He can't see her, of course, but Naomi's intent gaze is locked on his, reading deeply into the boy's every breath and gesture.]

I think I would have considered that torture at your age. [Humor is always what Naomi turns to in serious times like this. It just makes everything easier than tears and worry.]

I can't say much for the situation [mostly because most of it is a mystery to her still], but I hope you feel comfortable enough to ask if there's anything you need at all. Even if is just someone to deal with your parents so you have a little breathing room.

[he offers a tiny laugh. He knows Naomi well enough to know she means well, that she'll do whatever she can; Draco's head bobs in a soft nod, and he licks his lips, delaying whatever words don't come to mind.]

It's not great, that's for certain. I will. I'll...ring you up if I need anything. [if he can find the button.]

[She's a little confused by the piano bit, but seeing Draco back is more than enough to hold her attention. There's a relieved expression as Kairi comes over the feed, sighing softly.]

Draco... you're okay!

Relatively speaking. [an awkward laugh, his eyes focused to one side of the Dreamberry's screen.] How've you been keeping?

Worried, of course! [And you can hear it in her voice.]

Seriously. I... hope you're feeling better. After what happened...

[and because he's curious - he vaguely remembers, but only through a haze of illness and post-death - he asks:] What happened?

[She was checking the network for something, only to come across this. She's not exactly sure what's wrong, but she's happy to see him nonetheless.]

It's good to see you back, Draco.

Wasn't gone for that long, was I? [he chuckles weakly.]

Long enough. [She smiles.]

How are you feeling?

[he doesn't see it, and therefore, doesn't react. His eyes remain staring just aside as he shrugs.]

Odd. But I won't bore you with the details.

Hello, Draco, there are some very happy people now.

Are there? I couldn't tell. [do forgive his sardonic attitude; he's just revived from death.]

[She says nothing about the tone, after all, dying is not exactly common for him as it is for her, so she cannot be upset that he is rightfully angry.]

I know your mother is.

I'm aware. I've se- She came by. [he amends his words before they come out; he hopes she didn't notice the deliberate change of words. His eyes remain unfocused away from the screen, just above it, like he knows where the voice is coming from, but not exactly.]

[ Action ] This is going to hurt like hell ;A; sonuvasnitch November 30 2011, 01:29:23 UTC
[ Harry had woken up on Tuesday morning feeling far better than he had since he first got sick. Really the feeling was akin only to a bad cold, however there was a feeling far more weighty than any pathogen that was lying across Harry's well being.

[ He had killed Draco.

[ Harry had woken up and remembered every moment that had transpired from his sickness. The moment that he remembered most clearly was firing that final spell. He hadn't moved from his spot on the hospital bed since he woke up and was praying that it had all been a horrible nightmare, but he knew better. When he saw Draco's post the feeling only deepened in his stomach, and he knew what he needed to do. He apparated from the hospital to his house and grabbed a few things before apparating with items in hand to Draco's room.

[ He pulled the invisibility cloak over his frame and crept out till he reached Draco in the foyer. ]

Draco...

[he jumps when he hears his name, turning to look but knowing he won't see anything. Instead, his eyes remain glazed, aimed at the edge of the piano as he turns just enough to listen carefully for footsteps.

[His hand moves to his wand subtly.]

What?

[ Harry notices the movement, he's still paranoid after all just not as badly, but he says nothing. If Draco wanted to hex him right then and there he probably deserved it. Correction he did deserve it. ]

Can I talk to you? Somewhere private.

[it takes him a moment, but he recognises the voice. His boyfriend's voice. Well...

[He slowly rises from the piano stool, reaching out to where he knows he set the Dreamberry, and slowly running his fingers along the varnished edge until he finds it. Then into the pocket it goes as he slowly rounds the bench and begins slowly making his way out of the foyer - he knows the library isn't too far from there, that it's currently vacant. That he can lock the door and pretend he just wants to read.

[What a laugh.

[With one hand outstretched halfway to keep him from running into anything, he walks, expecting Harry to follow.]
