Sophie had spent most of the day exploring the campus. She still wasn't very pleased about the whole situation, but as was her general attitude over most things, she planned to make the best of it.

It seemed she had made a full circle around the campus before coming upon the bookstore. She entered, feeling rather delighted that she might find something familiar to her, books. However, much like Corinna she had been very surprised not the familiar hardcovers with hand stitched bindings, but the strange paperbacks. She frowned a bit as she scanned the aisles of books. They seemed to hold interesting subjects but they looked like they might fall apart just but opening the cover!

Paying more attention to the strange books than to where she was going Sophie walked right into someone. She let out a surprised yelp but then quickly stammered an apology to the stranger.

Another girl, a little older than her. Corinna caught the pattern of her in her hair before turning to face her.

"I'm fine," she said, in response to the apology. This girl was dressed more in the way that Corinna was accustomed to. She relaxed just a bit.

Sophie smiled but apologized once more. "I'm sorry, I was just looking at these odd looking books," she said as she peered back at the shelf.

Corinna's respect for words demanded that she share her opinion on the subject. "They're all so flimsy."
