Rikku heard the knock and practically leapt off her bed. She gave a slight gasp, hastily smoothing down the front of the plain, light green dress that she'd randomly found in her closet. She was positive that it wasn't hers or Ara's, but had decided to wear it nonetheless. Hey, it fit and complimented her eyes, so why not? It came down to just above her knees and had spaghetti straps that criss-crossed in the back. A pair of white flip flops and a messy ponytail completed her look. She honestly hoped that it wouldn't be too cold tonight.

The blonde girl stepped excitedly over to the door and opened it with a smile. "Hey, Edgar!"

Edgar's eyes widened slightly as Rikku opened the door. He bowed and smiled at her, glad that he had decided to wear something nice tonight. He offered her his hand and grinned.

"My dear, you look stunning tonight."

She flushed faintly and took his hand. "Thanks," she replied. "I kinda found it and decided that it'd be nice." She caught sight of the basket and her eyes lit up. She'd always loved picnics. Not that many people had picnics in the desert, but she and Brother had always been considered... different.

As they walked out of the dorm, hand in hand, Edgar gestured with the basket and shrugged. "I'm afraid it's not much, but I did manage to whip up something for dinner. I hope you don't mind it. I'm, ah, not the greatest of cooks..."
