Sabin walked into the Zantetsuken and looked around. It didn't seem like his type of place; crowded, loud, flashy... Almost the exact opposite of what he preferred, but Edgar had invited him, and since he'd yet to meet anyone apart from his students, he decided to indulge his brother.

Spying a large knot of girls surrounding a blond, Sabin shook his head. Holy... Even for Edgar, that's impressive...

He walked to the group of girls - and his brother - and grabbed him from behind in a loose headlock. Mussing his brother's hair, Sabin grabbed a seat and smiled.

"How's it goin', Ed?"

Edgar let out a strangled yelp as Sabin wrapped his arm around his neck. Reaching up to grab the back of his brothers head, Edgar winced slightly as his shoulder protested.

Glaring at Sabin, he shook his head and smiled ruefully.

"Not too bad, Mash. Glad to see you could make it out."

Pointing to his brother, Edgar addressed the ladies at the table with a broad smile.

"Ladies, this is my brother Sabin. He's a professor of some sort here, but don't hold that against him. Sabin, this is Chibiusa, Rikku, Ara and Rukia."

Rukia nodded in greeting. "What do you teach, Sabin-sensei?"

Sabin smiled at the black-haired girl... Rukia, he though Edgar had said her name was. "Well, miss," he began, his just slightly deeper than Edgar's, "I'm the professor of Botany here, actually. I know, I don't look the type, do I?"

Foottwitt was wondering around the campus and decided to take a peek inside one of the pubs. He noticed a group gathered and went over to investigate. It seemed like they were having a good time and he wanted to be a part of it.

"Okay," he turned to Mr. Tickles, "I'm going over there and I'm going to try to make some friends. So please don't do anything mean."

*heavy sigh* Fine, fine.

"Thank you," Foottwitt turned and made his way over to the group. He greeted them with a cheerful smile and a cheerful, "Hello."

Edgar looked up at the newcomer and nodded. Now there's an odd one... Maybe he's related to Fran... "Hey, friend. How's it going?"

Foottwitt tilted his head to the side and his ear twitched, "How's what going?"

Edgar looked at him for a minute through narrowed eyes and shook his head. "Never mind. How're you doing? Can we help you?"

Rukia was feeling rather uncomfortable. What all this talk of families and cute butts.... still... she'd slowly finished her drink and found that her foot didn't hurt so much now ((THE POWER OF RUM. :D)) and so... she decided to order another drink.

A FEW MORE DRINKS LATER... and she had a nice little collection of paper umbrellas which she was now attempting to somehow weave together and make some sort of crown out of it... like you did with flowers. She obviously didn't notice that this wasn't going to work but kept trying anyway.

Sabin watched in awe as Rukia put away another half-dozen of the red, umbrella-laden cocktails. As she struggled with lacing the wooden points together, he idly took a pink-and-white one in his hand and smiled at her. Leaning toward her, he held up the paper umbrella and smiled. "May I, miss?"

Her eyes widened... they were almost childish and sort of creepy now... but she smiled a small yet genuine smile and nodded slowly. She wondered if he could do it.

Sabin smiled and took the small umbrellas in his hand. A moment later he had laced them together into a tight semi-circle, the pink-and-white umbrella in the centre. Placing the paper umbrella diadem on her head, he leaned back and smiled at his handiwork. "There you go, miss. It looks wonderful."

Moving back in he looked to everyone looking a whole lot more relaxed, "I'm back." He said as he spotted Rukia, who looked totally tanked and then of course Sabin and the rest having so much fun. He could fit in here right?

He took his seat and pulled on beside him as well for Guy who he had found and finally dragged to the party. "Found him finally. Sorry it took so long."

Guy smiled sheepishly. Well it was true he was late, but he had a very good reason for being so late. One of his boots had gone missing and he'd had to find it, only having that pair of foorwear. He'd finally found it in the bathroom, in the shower. Guy would have to ask Foottwitt about that later.

"Sorry everyone, didn't mean to take Luke away to fetch me." he apologized, sitting next to Luke. Leaning closer to Luke he smiled.

"Nice party you've got going." he chuckled.

"Oh it wasn't me. It was Edgar and the others. We are all here to meet new people." He pointed to each person, "That is Chibiusa, Rikku, "Edgar, Professor Sabin, Err...and that chick I think her name is Rukia." He looked to Guy and then the others with a small smile.

"This is certainly the way to meet people." Guy chuckled, seeing that a few people were a bit tipsy. Guy did pay more attention to the man Luke had labeled as Edgar.

Ah! So that was Sabin's brother. He'd have to go say hello.
