Allen looks up from the book he's reading and stares at Kanda for a moment before responding. "Yeah, he left a few minutes ago."
He motions for Kanda to come sit on the bed next to him on the bed since their dorm room is sparsely furnished. "He went to pick up some food for the ducklings, I think. Maybe he didn't though... either way, he's promised to leave us alone." Allen pulls his knees up to his chest and rests his chin on them. "So... what is it that you want to talk about?"
He moved warily to sit next to Allen. Considering what he was upset about, sharing a bed with anyone was a bit uncomfortable, and he had to look down to hide a slight flush. He was quiet for a bit after he sat, curling his fingers in the covers next to him and staring at his knees. It took a lot to work up to this, but... he really needed to talk.
Allen's eyes widen in worry and he forgets his own regrets (were they really though?) from the evening before last. Kanda is more important at the moment and he is going to listen with rapt attention.
He doesn't quite know what to say, but has the feeling that he should remain silent. He nods for Kanda to continue before remembering that the swordsman isn't looking at him. He hums that he's listening and hopes that what Kanda did wasn't as horrible as what he himself had done.
"I lost a fight. The bastard was mocking me. And then he..." He shook his head, trying to fight back the urge to clam up and run. He started to get up, but he forced himself to sit again, slamming his fist into Allen's headboard to take out some of his frustration. "Damn it! I'm so off-balance I... He tried to take advantage of me and I LET HIM!"
Kanda sounded somewhere between murder and tears, and he kept his gaze focused downwards, knowing the dark curtain of his hair would prevent Allen from seeing the wetness that prickled at the corners of his eyes. He wouldn't admit to that weakness. "I keep losing things. And this one I can't get back..."

"I... did something... yesterday. That I regret."
