Similarly to Linali, Atem had headed to the library soon after getting a good chance. Making certain Yuugi was alright, after whining pleading asking Yuugi to get some rest to make sure he wouldn't get sicker, Atem had headed to the library both to get some books for assisting the other boy in studying, and for his own continuing projects.

As it was, he was wandering through floor two of the library, wondering where the books he would need to help out Yuugi would be located. Of course, if he'd been paying more attention to the books or to his surroundings rather than moping, he would have noticed there was somewhere else nearby. Specifically, Linali, who was up on the ladder. As it was though, Atem had no clue, wandering quietly through the isle.

Geh. Linali's fingertips were brushing the rough spine of the book, but she couldn't quite get hold of it. Irritation made her pay far less attention to what she was doing until she was leaning half off the ladder, reaching as far as she could.

Until the ladder gave way beneath her that was.

She managed to let out a scream before it collapsed, turning around with the ladder before letting it go and falling out into the space between the shelves. It didn't occur to her to use her boots; her mind went blank as she fell.

Atem was startled by the scream, and he looked up just in time to realize someone was falling at him. He would have spazzed a bit if he had the time, but he didn't; all he could do was react, and he instinctively did to try and catch the person falling.

Of course, that was only partially a success; it was more like 'breaking a fall' than 'catching', but close enough. They both tumbled to the ground, though not too hard, and it took a moment before Atem realized who it was who'd just come falling from the sky. "...Linali!"

"O-Ow." Sprawled across Atem's lap, she rubbed her head a bit before looking up at him. Her eyes widened and she paled slightly, but she did her best to act natural.

"A-Atem! Are you okay? I didn't hurt you, did I?" She'd just fallen on top of him from the sky, of course he wasn't going to be fantastic. "Thank you for catching me."
