Boredom was a killer and this place covered boredom pretty well. Things were either increasingly chaotic or majorly dull. Gray would personally rather take the chaotic. It was during one of his ramblings across campus during a boring spell that he came across the tennis club.

"Ehhh, what are you two up to?" Gray asked as he leaned against the fence at watched Fuji and Eiji hitting a ball back and forth. Gray had no idea what it was, but it looked mildly interesting. More interesting than whatever he'd had planned for the rest of the day at least.

Eiji paused getting ready to knock another ball into the already halfway filled basket as he glanced over hearing a familiar voice. "Oy, Gray! You wanna come play? We're just hitting the balls into the basket. Think you can do it?" he grinned.

Fuji chuckled. He hadn't seen much of the other since probably the party, but it didn't seem the other was lacking for anything, but he did seem to be a bit bored, which was understandable although they'd just had that birthday party for Yugi and Atem recently as well, so...who knows? Perhaps he was just one of those restless souls.

Gray shrugged and started climbing the fence. Going in through the door would have been way to easy! It wasn't that he hadn't seen the door or anything, not at all. He let himself drop to the ground when he was about halfway down the other side. Gray had never played tennis, or anything like tennis before, but that didn't matter int he least. "Just hitting balls into a basket? Couldn't be too hard could it?" You hit the ball with the racket thing and off it went right? No problem.

Fuji suppressed a chuckle, along with shaking his head seeing Eiji's surprised look at Gray as he started climbing the fence.

"It might look easy, but could be tricky..." Fuji smiled handing him his racket

Racket in hand, Riku jogged her way out onto the field. She was dressed for the occasion in a loose fitting white T-shirt, pair of bright yellow athletic shorts, knee-high tube socks and her usual sneakers.

Waving with the racket, the elder twin beamed. FINALLY something proactive to do around here! "Hey guys!"

Hakkai figured it would probably be best to learn how to play this strange sport that his roommate seemed to love. It would allow them some more bonding time. What could be better than bonding time? Hakkai smiled lightly to himself as he headed towards the courts. This could be fun, right? Hakkai fingered the racket strings, wondering if he'd actually be able to hit anything.

Linali smiled when she spotted the little group forming on the tennis courts. Lots of people meant lots of fun. She'd traded in her usual sandals for some sneakers (she could deal with having her feet covered for a while, at least), but stuck with a skirt and plain white t shirt and her usual pigtails. "Hey everyone," she called out when she was close enough.

Eiji looked around, happy to see all the faces that had shown up - old and new - for the lesson that day. "Ya hoi!" he hopped around on one foot, then spun in a circle. "Well, nya, Fuji and I are happy to see you all here, nya, or rather back for some of you," he chuckled. "So...who can remember their basics?" he said spinning his racket around his wrist, searching the others faces. "Or do we need to have a bit of a refresher course first?" he grinned.

Fuji tried not to laugh, he truly did. Eiji could be just as sneaky as him sometimes the way he acted, although he was a bit more apparent about it, but the acrobatic tennis player was more friendly in his approach though towards others.

Today was a good day it seemed.

Hakkai couldn't help but laugh at Eiji's enthusiasm. It seemed that nothing could keep the boy from nearly bouncing off the ground in excitement. Hakkai had yet to see him tired at all. "Unfortunately you'll have to teach me the basics since this is my first lesson and I've never played before," Hakkai told his friends lightly. He didn't figure they would mind at all. Basics were usually easy to teach. At least, the basic basics were.

Eiji's proposition didn't sound very appealing to Gray. Five laps if he didn't make it? No way was that going to happen. Thankfully, the arrival of a few other members of the tennis club seemed to distract Eiji and Fuji well enough. Gray used it to his advantage and wandered over to join everyone else. No point in bringing up something he didn't want to do, right? Surly Eiji wouldn't make him try it, with a penalty, while everyone else was around. And if he did... Gray was not going to run laps!
