"O--oh it wasn't your fault. I was the one who ran into you...Sorry, it was my fault." Riku pulled herself, with his help, awkwardly back to her feet and watched him for a moment. She so rarely was careless when she ran. She really needed this...this feeling of neglect to leave or else she'd end up running straight off the cliffs to the sand of the beach.
"A..are you ok, Yuugi? You seem a little off...." Not that I ever get to spend much time with you to notice. She quelled the bitter thought in her head and tried again. "You need someone to talk to?"
Riku bristled. Well, yeah, of course he hadn't seen her because she was invisibleRiku, it seemed. She felt a sickness churn in her stomach and it made her want to run far far away and just throw up. She took a hopefully steadying breath and murmured, "yeah...well...." She didn't have an excuse for why she hadn't been around because, well, they were always together without her. She couldn't tell who she was more angry at out of the three of them, but she felt like Yuugi was the most innocent, if the most unfair in Riku's eyes, of bystanders.
"I've been around...I guess you just haven't seen me....like I haven't seen you." She didn't want to talk about this. She didn't want to do anything but just scream, but instead she turned to look at him and tried to find a neutral subject. It wasn't often she saw a part of the trio alone so she might as well try to embrace it. "Wanna go get some water with me? I'm really thirsty and everyone could use a nice big glass of cold water. I think it's the most....comforting thing. It's at least really
Riku just stared. Who did that anymore? She didn't know anyone...except Niwa who would have saved her from these crazy robots. But he wasn't here right now and Yuugi was the one protecting her. She watched in awe for a moment...or for a while, until he started talking and was shaken back into reality.
"Uhm...I have no idea! I wonder what they could be? They're like little robot things! Are they going to hurt you...I mean, us?"
"O-oh ok!!" She rushed along after him, feeling her heart thump hard in her chest as he touched her wrist again. Geez...What was this? He was acting so protective. It had to be just because of a friend thing..it had to.
And then the lights went out again and her heart quickened to include fright in her emotions. She rushed to get away from the droids and sufficiently tripped over one, losing her grip on his hand. "Oh!! No!!"
