Something was definitely up. It didn't take much to notice people were acting pretty peculiar, mostly when it came to relationships. So it didn't a genius to take notice of Rhyme's change in behavior. The blond shinigami had his suspicions, but he prayed that it wasn't what he thought it was.

Izumi usually had a knack at being right.

Stopping at the front of the wooden door, Izumi took a minute before he could bring himself to knock on the door. Not that he was nervous or anything, what did he have to worry about? The thing was, if his suspicions were correct, how on earth was Rhyme going to react? Girls had so many different ways of expressing themselves. Actually, it was a little cute to think about.

Sighing, Izumi gently tapped his knuckle against the wooden door.

The knock! Izumi was here! Rhyme perked up instantly and smiled as she rushed over to the door, throwing it open to hug Izumi right around the waist (since she was too short for anywhere else). "Izumi! You're here! I missed you!!"

Tugging on his arm, she pulled him into the room and closed the door, ushering him to take a seat on her bed, right by the poorly wrapped package. "What were you doing?" She asked, trying to hide the blush and her insecurities that he had been out with another person.

Yep...this was the only reaction Izumi could expect from his suspicions. Even though he didn't want to be, the Shinigami was right again. But why on Earth was Rhyme acting in a way that was expected of Meroko? Was the small girl seriously IN LOVE with Izumi? No, it's not that. There had to be something out of the ordinary going on again. Knowing this school, it wasn't that hard to imagine there was some magic going around again.

Well the options here were simple. A) Get out a fast as possible. Or B) Try and get Rhyme to snap out of it.

"Calm down Bell-chan. I was on my way over from the opposite side of the campus. It takes awhile, even when I'm flying." Option B it was.

"I just get really worried about you out there, Izumi. I don't know what this school is capable of and I really don't want you to get hurt! I don't...know if I could really stand it if someone else left me. Everyone's gone...everyone except you and Linali and Shiki. You're the only ones I have left."

Shaking the somber tone from her voice, Rhyme reached for the present beside her and plopped down across from Izumi on the bed. "I made this for you! WIll you open it! Please, please?"
