Honesty or mystery? Tell me "I'm not scared anymore"

Who: Linali, Atem, and some zombies~
When: First day of the zombie infestation, just after shopping
Where: In front of House Theta, and elsewhere on campus
What: Linali encounters some zombies, and neko!Atem is unamused; they may attempt the capture of zombie!Mikuru should she show up. (aka excuseforfluffmountainkthnx)
Rating: PG at best for zombie

Atem had been attempting to avoid the attention of anyone on campus, as he was more than a little disinclined to make it known he now had cat ears and a tail. The latter was easily enough hidded under his long coat, but the ears... They were pretty obvious. And so, Atem had decided not to go back to the dorms at he moment.

As it was, he was just wandering around a bit lamely, hands in his pockets and scowling at the cold, hoping he wouldn't run into anyone. Some time into his sulking, he heard someone shriek and he took off in that direction, just in time to see Linali kick a more-dead-the-usual-looking Bakura to the ground. That was awesome. He couldn't help but smile as he stepped up beside Linali. "I would ask if you were alright, but it appears you have the situation covered."

Pondering over what all this meant in her head, Linali didn't hear Atem walk up beside her, and when he spoke she jumped away with another shriek. Breathing heavily and taking a very defensive stance, she spit out, "Are you you or are you like them?" Ohgod, if Atem was a zombie too...

Atem tilted his head slightly to the side her reaction, ears perking forward and tail settling into a curious twitch. "What?" He asked, glancing at the downed Bakura and resisting the urge to kick him himself. "What do you mean?"

"Oh, thank goodness," Linali breathed out, a hand to her chest. She pulled down her skirt modestly (she really needed to find something better to fight in) before kneeling beside Bakura, suspicious of the slightest movement from him. "He's a zombie," she said, face serious, looking up at Atem. Pushing him over, anyone could see his bloodshot eyes and green skin, as well as the unnatural twitching. "We should get away from here before he gets up," she added, standing up straight and moving back to Atem's side.
