Mai had not had to do a great deal to make herself acceptable for a date; she'd pulled on her emerald green coat and pinned her wavy blond hair up, freshened up her makeup, and was ready to go.

She, honestly, had been a bit bored. That was the main reason she'd accepted this date with Cross; he wasn't really her type, but he seemed like an interesting person. Definately worth spending some time with, at least.

She heard the knock on her door and finished straightening her sleeves before opening the door for him. "I see you found the room, hon." She greeted lightly.

Cross' face lit up when he saw the blond. She reminded him of someone, but he couldn't put his finger on it just yet.

"I'm glad I did too. You look lovely tonight." He smiled even wider and offered his arm to her, "I don't know how women are courted in the future, correct me if I'm doing something wrong."

Mai smiled; he actually looked genuinely pleased to see her.

"Thank you, hon." She responded, reaching out to take his arm. She had to say she liked this gentlemanly behavior, even if she knew he was a huge flirt. "Will do, but you're doing fine so far." He really didn't have to try too hard to be a better date than most of the pathetic men she'd had the displeasure of wasting her time with.

"Where'd you have planned for dinner?" She asked, looking over at him.

He broke the hold to open the door for her, waiting first for her to go through the door before going through himself.

"I appreciate it muchly," How many times had he done it? Actually, Cloud had whipped him for doing it once and Anita thought it was funny when he did that.
