Instead of walking outside to the door from the hallway, Riku simply moved through the bathroom with Snow in one of her her hands and a warmed bag of popcorn in her other. She used her popcorn-bag-elbow to knock of the door connecting to Linali's room.

"Hey, Linali!! I'm in the bathroom. Want to let us in?"

Snow huddled into Riku's arm when her voice raised and the girl looked down then cooed to the kitten. "Awwe...Snow, it's ok. We're gonna meet Yun-qi today. Don't be afraid."

Snow was watching, enthralled by how he could toss the toy up and down and around without ever losing it. She gave a mew, high pitched and soft, as she watched with wonder.

Riku just grinned, laughing as she saw Snow move closer to Yun-qi. "She's falling for it to. That's really funny." Turning to see her friend again, she nodded. "Yun-qi's so cute. I'm really glad they're getting along too. It's nice to know she's got a friend."

"Fell into a whole?! Geez! That's not good! Snow would be petrified if that happened to her! Was he ok?" She asked, immediate shock on her face.

Linali laughed merrily. "The only way I found him was that he was absolutely squalling to get out. When I dug him up and dusted him off he stopped, and when I sat him down, he tried to walk off like nothing was wrong, but he staggered and nearly fell over in the sand! I carried him home." Yun-qi paused in his trick to give Linali what she equated as a dirty look. "You prideful thing you," she said to him, wagging her finger.

Yun-qi dropped the ball and climbed up into Linali's lap, rubbing and purring. "Are you ready to go?" Linali asked him.

"Nya!" he cried out loudly.

Snow left the toy were it was and followed Yun-qi's example, jumping up into Riku's arms. She snuggled up into the crook of her arm, causing Riku to laugh and slowly start to pet her head. She stood up, cradling the cat to her.

"Let's head out then, before it gets too cold. Oh, hey, wait.." She rushed back into her room, draped a large blanket over her arms, and then moved back to Linali's side. "Like a picnic blanket! We could even pick up some food and take it out there for dinner or something."

"Great idea! Let's drop by the cafe and get something to go then." With a smile to her friend, Linali set Yun-qi on the floor before moving to put on her boots. She pulled them on easily, but when she stood back up she stretched and lifted her feet up and down.

"Ugh. They don't feel as heavy as they did before, but they're still pretty heavy." She took a few more steps before heading towards the door. "C'mon Yun-qi." Mewling, he followed behind her, happy to get to go outside.

Riku followed her friend out happily, Snow cuddled close to her chest. She didn't put her down to walk since she knew that Snow was content and feeling safe in her arms.

"I'm glad to see you taking them off now since wearing them all the time seems so...so...imposing." She replied, not able to think of something she would HAVE to wear all the time and not get sick of. "I mean, you feel better not having to wear them constantly, don't you? You say they're really heavy and they look pretty heavy..."

Linali opened the front door of the dorm for her friend and her kitten, pondering the question. "I guess I feel better. My legs certainly feel a lot more free. But I don't think I'd be able to not wear them at home. If something happened and I couldn't fight because I wasn't wearing my boots I'd feel absolutely terrible." She fell into step beside Riku. "It's nice to be able to go without them, but I don't think I'll be able to do it anywhere else. So I am enjoying it."

She reached out and gave Snow a soft caress. "Thanks for asking though, Riku-chan. You're sweet to always be so worried about me."

Snow looked up at the hand, flinching at first. Once she got used to it, she started to purr and even lifted up to lick at Linali's fingertips. Riku just smiled, looking back to make sure Yun-qi was at their heels or beside them. Riku passed through the doors easily, thanking Linali as she did so.

"Well, friends worry for each other. It's just what happens. Plus, it's just hard to imagine HAVING to wear something all the time." She reached up to push her hair behind her ear with a shrug."I guess it might not be so bad if you're used to it, but I just think it would be weird."

Linali smiled down at little Snow, happy she was warming up to her. She gave her a soft rub behind her ears as Yun-qi mewled loudly. "Look at you, jealous heart." She bent down to pick up her kitten, holding him gently in her arms as they approached the beach.

"You're right. I know all about worrying. I'm friends with some completely reckless individuals." Linali shrugged. "I guess it just doesn't seem odd to me because that's just how it's been my whole life. It's never something I've particularly liked, but it's been my duty so I've done it. Something like that." She hopped down from the rocky ledge that separated the sand from the grass. The afternoon sky was starting to turn red as she shielded her eyes with one arm and took a deep breath of sea air.

Laughing gently at Yun-qi, Riku simply took over at petting Snow so that Linali could do so for Yun-qi. "He's adorable and he knows it." Of course he would want attention, especially since he was a kitten.

Riku followed her friend down the rocks, clutching Snow to her so that she wouldn't be able to fall down and hurt herself. Snow snuggled into Riku's arms, afraid of the rocks and the sounds of the ocean near her. She shivered, letting out a sad, whimpery mewl as Riku just frowned at her. "Don't worry, little Snow, it's ok. I won't drop you!"

She also took in a deep breath of the ocean's breeze and smiled. "It's the best smell in the world, isn't it?" Riku asked Linali, happy to feel the warmth of the sun even as it was leaving them.

"It's absolutely fantastic." Linali smiled at her friend before taking a deep breath. "Alrighty. I promised to show you my boots right?" She took a few steps forward to where the sand began to be wet. Yun-qi sat down on his haunches, suddenly solemn. He'd seen this before.

Snow traveled over to Yun-qi and sat beside him, her tail flicking over against his own tail.

Riku frowned, watching Linali. Everything suddenly seemed so serious. She scooted closer to the kittens and watched over Linali, suddenly very concerned for her friend.

"Linali, be careful, ok?"

((No, no it's ok. ^^ That sucks so much!! It's back fully now?))

Linali looked back over her shoulder with a reassuring smile. She turned back and quietly said, "Dark Boots."

The wind picked up around her as she felt the power of her Innocence spreading up her legs. Her hair blew up and she shivered at the familiar feeling.

She turned to fully face her friend. "These are what my Dark Boots really look like."
