The large wooden doors opened, seemingly of their own volition, into an impressive entrance hallway that looked as if it extended further back than the building's dimensions actually allowed. The moment he entered, a pair of paper shogi doors at the other end of the hall slid open with a crisp clack, as if inviting Yuri in.

Just inside the shogi doors, Maru and Moro waited in attendance, smiling and ready to greet Yuri with cheerful enthusiasm. Yuuko herself sat on the arm of one of the office's plush armchairs, draped in a voluminous cherry pink kimono with crystal beaded combs in her hair -- and, of course, sipping alcohol. Cherry wine, to be precise.

Yuri frowned slightly as he walked inside, tensing for some unnatural reason. She really was as powerful as some of the others had said....but could she really help him get rid of the damned thing that was plaguing his very soul ( ... )

Yuuko raised an eyebrow at him over her drink. "I do," she answered, taking another sip. Then, as if reading out of a book, she recited, "Holy Mistletoe. Viscum album, the Golden Bough of Aeneas, to the ancient Romans. The Unlikely Weapon, slayer of Baldur, to the Norse. And, according to some sources, the wood used to create the True Cross, upon which the Christ was crucified."

Placing her drink down upon a side table, the witch rose and approached Yuri, resting a hand on the harmonixer's chest just above his heart. A slight frown crossed her face. "Ahh."

Her hand rose and lifted the red charm of his necklace, looking it over with what appeared to be criticism, her lips pursed. "Lifting the curse would cost more than you could afford at this moment," she said, holding the charm between her fingertips. "However, for a price, I can suspend its progress and remove some of the malice that it has accumulated."

“...too high?” Yuri frowned. If she couldn’t-no, more like wouldn’t- get it out...then what would? His gaze flickered to her again, crimson optics belying a hint of worry. “What kind of price are you talking about? I like to know what exactly I’m getting myself into before I make that kind of decision.” She couldn’t have Amon’s soul, if that was what she wanted. He needed it in order to defeat that crazy bastard Rasputin. Besides, if that happened, all the work that the old man and Karin had gone through to help him conquer the God of Wrath would’ve been for nothing.
