Very chilling. Poor Jack. Thank you for writing this.

This was a tough write, but I'm quite proud of it (and pleased with myself for challenging my own comfort limits in writing it). Thanks for the kind words!

Ok, like I said, that ep alone swore me off but I got nosy and saw the third one with Ianto cracking Jack's concrete tomb. I may tape it but I'm not watching it. I would like to see Jack get payback on these monsters; the critter who implanted that bomb should carry one herself! What's worse is that no matter what Jack and the Doctor do to keep Earth safe, UNIT has jackasses who continually try to thwart the efforts Jack and the Doctor expend in doing so. I can see why Jack left Earth after MD; I think I would have left immediately after reconstituting from something like this.

Gruesomely interesting...

This was one of the toughest things I've written lately and as I said in another reply on this post, I'm proud of myself for challenging my own comfort zone.

And yeah, CoE was a tough view for me, too, though subsequent rewatches have helped me come to an odd appreciation if not a fondness. Dare I say, Miracle Day was more fascinating because of the central question involved, ie. what would happen if nobody died. I admit, I've a healthy interest in the whole question of mortality and it's place and purpose in the universe, and so, for all the horror in the series, it has a place in my mind and heart (also, the relationship between Jack and Angelo warms my heart).
