At least some people. There are people on the west side of town who may understand the concept of investing in stocks, but don't understand why they should invest in public education, services, etc. I joke enough about west siders hiding their money in a coffee can in the backyard, but it's often true. These are the same people who have kept their houses exactly as they bought them 50 years ago, because they saw no need to upgrade the bathroom or kitchen.

Great post!

Interesting that you think Cincy more conservative than Indy. I know little about Indy and Indiana, but would have guessed they were similar to this area.

Hey, I know you're not into comics, but will you and the fam attend the Cincy Comic Expo next month? (yes, I am going)

Cincy is closer to the Bible Belt --after all, the Creation Museum is across the river-- and Indy actually has a Unigov government. Sure, Indiana is a conservative state, but Cincinnati lacks a liberal voice on the political spectrum. When moderates are considered liberal pinkos, you know you live in a conservative area.

Oh, and as for the Expo, I honestly haven't thought of it. I'm not sure if we'll go or not, and it'll probably depend on everyone's schedules.
