The JLU Beyond comics infuriate me. Dwayne McDuffie would NEVER have killed off Mari to push John and Shayera together. Never. I find the entire series exactly as bad for the DCAU continuity as the Buffy comics are for the Buffyverse. I don't consider them canon at all.

It amuses me to consider the Maesto's ghost showing up to haunt the JLB writers, complaining all the while that he doesn't even believe in ghosts and wow they're in so much trouble for summoning up his with this travesty, and what were they thinking?
