1. Despite the fact that none of my regular 'ships involve telepathy in any way (okay, except Stark/Zhaan, but there is always a Naked Blue Chicks exception) the fact that J'onn can't read Shayera's mind makes their relationship strangely kinky, and that works for me ( Read more... )

You know of course that I love J'onn/Shayera under almost every circumstance because it is an almost human relationship. They are truly alien to each other.

I really love the British versions of "The Office" and "Life on Mars" and I find it hard to get behind the American version. Sometimes, I wish the major networks would import the originals like they use to when I was younger. :)

Ittook me a while to really warm to J'onn/Shayera, but I'm enjoying it a lot right now, and it's All Your Fault.

BBC America needs to be more generally available, then everyone would know the difference.

I've never seen Life on Mars. I really love Sarah Jane too. Why is it that The Sarah Janes Adventures is so good but Torchwood sucks so much?

Have you caught up on S2 of Torchwood? I liked that significantly more than the WTFery of S1. Life on Mars is definitely an acquired taste. It's more violent than I normally like, but the acting is excellent.

Popcap Games, zomg. Purveyors of crack. We bought the full version of BA last Christmas when they were running a sale, and we still play it all the time.

Big chunks were shot-by-shot, though not all of it. The lack of swearing, the wacky accents and Blonde!Annie all seriously messed with my head, and I will not be watching more. I didn't notice more comedy in the pilot, since the jokes were the same. Up to you, really. If you've only watched a little of the UK version, it might not mess with your head.
