I'm liking the first - Ten looks like he has Kaposi's in the second. *grins*
If you have time, any chance you could try the frost in the upper left and across the top only? Just to see what it looks like? This is terribly kind of you to do - thank you so much!

Didn't say I particularly cared for the second one, but I wanted you to see what a complete overlay was likely to come out like. :)
Here's a couple of options, one with more frost and one with less, in the upper left corner and across the top only. Variants are why I always save the layered version (unless I screw up and accidentally fail to do so).

Now I just need a title! The working title is way too spoilery and is unfortunately stuck in my head. *grumbles*
Two possibilities: looking up ice/cold/frost-related literary references, or consulting the Random House Word Menu.
How to put together icons/banners is going to vary widely from program to program. I use Photoshop CS3. It wouldn't surprise me if there might be a very general icon community here on LJ that would offer tutorials - although I suspect those'll not be for higher-end programs like Photoshop. If you've got Photoshop, I can walk you through making one - although the latest bells and whistles won't necessarily be there for pre-CS3 versions.
Did you want a frosty version of the banner as well? And with or without Rose?
Thanks muchly for the icon/banner stuffs - is there anything I might be able to provide in return?
If you feel the need, something ficcy what don't involve waiting 'til October would be lovely. :)

Yeah... that's a possibility, although the ice/snow doesn't have much to do with the rest of the plot. It'll only be a factor in the first few chapters. *ponders*

If you're offering, sure! How about without Rose, as having Ten staring off at something the audience can't see seems to work well for what I have in mind.

Lesse - 'Not Here' is still in the works, but I'll see if I can come up with another omake-style drabble. Any requests?
And part 2!mtemplar_ficAugust 22 2008, 00:45:03 UTC
Eventually breaking the kiss for lack of breath, he turns fully toward her and reaches up shakily to tuck a lock of her hair behind her ear. She trembles and leans in to kiss him again, this time right at the corner of his mouth. He turns his head quickly, catching her lips and offering himself as he's never offered before. He puts his entire being into the press of his lips to hers, the person who he'd go on his knees to keep. He offers and he waits
