*SQUEEEE!* Oh wow, that's awesome. How the hell did the kidlets keep it a secret? Man, I'd be bouncing off the walls in excitement. (Especially since I was such a Doctor Who fan as a child.)
Make sure Hubby's got a plan of how to get around London. It can be tricky and Taxi's are mental prices. Keep lots of change handy just incase you get a bus as sometimes you have to pay through a machine before you even get onto the bus.
Don't EVER let your wallet/bag leave your sight. Although you probably knew that already its easy to get distracted in London.
Visit Oxford street, Selfridges rocks and Marble Arch isn't far from it (literally up the road). Hamleys is also close by. Londons famous toy shop. Very big and makes you want to be a kid again.
London eye is pretty good. Though do go during the night as I heard its best then.
And hey if you have any spare change left over you can always donate it to the bank of Rachel haha!
If you see a petrol station look at the prices, you'll never complain about the price of petrol on your side of the pond again!
*looks at hotel* Bloody hell! You guys must me loaded! I'm so jealous.
I imagine we'll probably be walking to most places, except for maybe the theater? The hotel seems to be fairly central to most of the tourisy stuff and I doubt we'll leave the city.
I figure if I can survive in Russia, I can survive in London, right? Can't be worse than NYC.
Yep - he does. Katy and I were watching the new ep yesterday while he was grabbing some fish at the market for dinner, and boy, was he unhappy. Not that he'd tell you this, though. *grins*
And yeah - short notice! Thank goodness this isn't a country where you have to get a visa. I apparently have to do this for Chile in the fall and possibly Argentina as well.
I think I love your hubby, but I'll keep mine regardless; he's not so shabby at times. That was so lovely and romantic of your other half, tell him we approve heartily. I'm very, very jealous.
*grins* I know! I'm amazed that he could keep a secret like this for so long. I did think it was odd that I got an email from United regarding my upcoming flight when I didn't have one coming up, but that was his only slip and not really his fault.
I have a day to pack. And stuff my iPod with new DW eps for the 8-hour flight. o_0
