So yesterday in the early morning there was a huge earthquake in Japan, and the aftershocks are still going on. Even though I do not have access to a TV right now this terrible news did came to my ears. I hope that all of you who are in the touhoku and kantou area are ok. I hope everybody you know is okay.
We're all worried because there has been an explosion in one of the atomic power plants and a first meltdown has been confirmed just a while ago. If the wind changes now, the radioactivity will spread throughout the mainland and we ALL here in Japan will be in serious danger T___T

Btw, were you affected by the quake at all? I'm sure you're okay since it all happened a long way away from you.

No, no earthquake or tsunamis for me, luckily, but I was only worried about (or worried the most about) the radioactivity from the start and now it really happened.
Thinking about leaving the country if worse comes to worse as long as the airport close to here is still running ....

i believe only narita and kaneda were closed down, so you should be able to get out if you want to.

I hope they'll be able to contain the damage in the reactor core :s
