Ahh I know exactly that sentiment. Suddenly realizing how much it costs to live on your own when all the bills are thrown at you like that. But its ok! Its just part and parcel of moving out and we'd have to face it sooner or later
And yes, please don't sting on buying stuff when you need to! Especially when it comes to food too k !!
Don't worry your Japanese is sure to improve by leaps and bounds with the current cohort! You can do it :)
