Yeah! Magneto is GREAT and COOL! Ok, I just know XMEN from TV 90s cartoons and the film, which you know, have Ian McKellen! but it's a great buddy and his power is terrific, although it doesn't work on plastics ;)
Well, just for your fun! some years ago, there was a controversy in my country because Magneto was drawn VERY ALIKE to our king XDXDXD, of course, no offense or likeness was intended ;)
Ian McKellen was the perfect Magneto! I hope he has a role in Magneto: Origins if the finally make one! Metal is one of the dominant materials in todays society so he would def rule all!
OMG! THAT IS SO FREAKY! THEY ARE WEARING THE EXACT SAME CLOTHES!!! When did this controversy first arise?!
I am really looking forward that movie...well, I can buy tickets for any XMEN movi!, but if Ian is there, I go faster!
Well, I made some research...it was in 2005, after Marvel released the House of M, where Magneto was the king of all mutants. According to the article I found, the comic artist wanted a very 'king' look, and King Juan Carlos looked so cool, that he took that pic for drawing Magneto, but he even draw all the Spanish symbols (!) and this symbols represent the maximun Spanish power over the kingdom.... Our Royal House wanted to sue them, but I don't know what finally happened.
Thanks for the article! I understood some of it but I'll have friends translate the rest! :D
I hope they didn't sue! Interesting choice of choosing an actual King! Even the backgound in the pics are the same! And they have the exact same medals on them!
I really hope Ian finally plays in it! It really won't be the same without him! I mean, he iembodies everything that is Magneto!!
