A short history of Ste-Margo's most notorious resident and her sister, soon-to-be director of the newly constructed mental health center.
Amy and Jamie Tang were born the illegitimate children of Rose Kopp, daughter of a prominent and wealthy family in Sim City. Rose met their father, James Tang, a third-generation Chinese acrobat, when his traveling show came to town for the season.
She was instantly smitten, and the pair were inseparable for the entire spring.
After their brief but torrid romance ended, Rose discovered she was pregnant with twin girls, months after James and his family had already moved on to the next city on their tour. Despite the fact that their father was long gone, though, she found herself happy preparing for the girls' arrival. But her parents had made other plans.
Rose wasn't even allowed to see her babies in the hospital. Never approving of her relationship with an itinerant circus performer, her parents had made certain that the fruits of this union would be handed off to a social worker at the earliest possible moment. Rose was sent away to a boarding school run by nuns, where they hoped she would never be allowed to get into such trouble again
The twins spent their entire childhoods trapped in the foster care system, being bounced from one family to another. Where Amy's reaction to her home situation took the form of pure aggression...
... Jamie channeled her energy into her schoolwork and her dreams of becoming a therapist one day.
Amy could never quite understand her sister's persistence on academic achievement. Why work so hard to please a world that doesn't want you?
