Little Houses

Oct 01, 2011 21:55

I made these little houses for an upcoming development in Ste-Margo, and I thought I'd try sharing them (no surprise ravines this time-- hey!). They're both sort of Craftsman-ish, which is not something I usually do, but I'm pleased with how they turned out. They come unfurnished and with minimal CC-- a few walls and floors-- so they're ready for your sims to move in and decorate. As always, use CleanInstaller to see the full CC details and credits.

Note 1: I have all EPs, and actually, these lots were built in a uni subhood, which means if you want to use hacks to have a base hood college, your students should go to class autonomously from them. Otherwise, they're normal residential lots.
Note 2: These houses are shown with white roof trim, which I did not include because it's a default replacement. I believe custom versions of individual roof recolors are available on MTS, but if you want the default version by Phaenoh, you can get it here.

TOU? Is this necessary for the few random downloads I have? You know, don't be a jerk-- no uploading to paysites or claiming them as your own, etc.

First, a little 1x2 bungalow, available for §16,384:

It has a lovely three-season porch in front.

Ground floor. (I like to see these plan views with the grid squares, don't you? It helps give a sense of how much space we're working with, you know?) There's a kitchen, a small bedroom/office, living/dining space with views on the backyard, a 2x2 bathroom, and a 1x2 hack closet tucked behind the not-very-Craftsman-appropriate-but-ugh-constrainfloorelevation-drives-me-nuts-so-screw-it spiral stairs.

I'm terrible about sorting out junk recolors from intentional ones when packaging lots, so the doors and staircase in the file are just the plain Maxis ones. If you want the recolor of the stairs, get them from CuriousB, and then just try to stop yourself from snagging a bunch of her other stuff.

The colorful, empty kitchen. I stopped seeing the point of taking pictures of empty rooms after this, since the others are even blanker canvases.

The second floor. One large bedroom, one not so large, and a purple-tiled bath.

The back looks almost exactly like the front, but not quite!

And here you can see some of the side. Do you want to download this house?

[Note: This lot was shrunk with the LotAdjuster.]

Next is a 1x1 lot with a tiny cottage for one (or more, if you're really creative and/or like bunk beds), available for §4,422:

It comes complete with a little decorative landscaping out front.

Ground floor with sample furnishing (not included).

There's even a little space in the back for a patio, or something... Not a hot tub, you know? But something smaller? I'm sure you'll think of something.

I think that's it. Let me know if anything is screwy. And if you end up using one of these in your game someday, I'd be thrilled to see it in action if you want to share links or pictures!

(Oh, and P.S. I haven't forgotten the Main Street buildings. They're coming, eventually!)
