I called off work so I can take my car in for service. The check engine light popped on Sunday afternoon and, of course, Monday was a holiday so I couldn't attempt to resolve the issue on a day off. I really, really hate my car. It's currently sitting at Midas getting $550 worth of brake work done.

Merry fuckin' Christmas.

Although I'm now down $1300 in parts and labor, my car is back in working order. There was the alternator issue and then they found some other stuff that probably wasn't a rush to fix but I had them do it anyway so I wouldn't be in this situation in the near future. Road service should be here in a hour or less. Hopefully it's just a dead battery and I can be on my way. If not, this sucks.

There's snow covering my car. There shouldn't be snow on my car. This is ridiculous! Tuesday I was wearing shorts at work and was almost too hot at times.
