I hear you about the whole "Fall" thing. When I was a kid back in La Junta, we had a crabapple tree in the back yard and three on the side. Man, when those apples started falling, and then fermenting on the ground, what a mess.
And guess who got the job of shoveling up all those half-rotting, mushy, fermenty-smelling apples....

I gave away a bunch of apples from my tree and didn't have nearly that much fun.
