Gutless Wonder

I have one less gall bladder than I had two days ago. I didn't even know it was pissed off at me, but here we are, separated for all eternity, without a word of warning. Ungrateful bastid.

Thanks to everyone who called, wrote and stopped by. I feel all loved and stuff. ; )

Dilaudid is good stuff. I highly recommend it.

I was just telling a friend a couple of days ago that I was almost wishing for something extreme to happen to take my mind off of something else that's been bugging me. Good thing I'm an atheist or I'd be a bit spooked.

Dilaudid? Damn, they gave you the good stuff. They just gave me vicodin...

I know what you're going through and I'm SO sorry. But I'm so glad it's taken care of. Let me know if you need anything.

They sent me home with percocet. They gave me options on what kind of painkiller. I had no idea.

So did yours come on all-of-the-sudden, too? There you were, minding your own business, and wham?

I had gall bladder attacks for several months, and got misdiagnosed 5 times.

1) Panic attack
2) Gas pain
3) Food poisoning
4) Flu
5) Acid reflux

Finally, I went to (of all places) my college's health clinic, and they got it right off the bat. The doc took one look at me, palpated my abdomen and said, "Yup, gall bladder. It's gotta come out today." Sure enough, I had a stone a little larger than a cherry pit. Yikes!

If you haven't been having problems before this, consider yourself blessed. I know getting surgery and the pain of the attack are miserable, but having it more times is more misery.

I hope you feel better soon. I'm thinking of you, hon.

Ack! You poor girl! I'm definitely feeling grateful they spotted it right away and did away with the little bastard.

Although someone made a post about it on fetlife while I was in the hospital.

At first, I was all tickled because there were male nurses around in the same ratio as females. But then I noticed the male nurses are all cold and detached and pretty damned unfriendly. I'm sure there are exceptions, but the representative sample blew.
