It's a very good day to be alive! Did you know that, 30 years ago today, Viking I landed on Mars? As you might imagine, that was a formative moment for this budding geek. :-)

Yeah, I can see that. I was only six at the time and have very vague memories of the event. For the Viking landing, I was 13 and have very clear memories of exactly where I was. :-)
