Do shoe malfunctions count?
I was having dinner with a rock band (who shall remain nameless, although they became *extremely* well-known)for whom I was designing stage costumes for their upcoming tour. It was winter, in Chicago and brutally cold, and stupid me, I was dressed as I normally did for costume client dinners/concerts in a short skirt and sky-high stilettos that buckled around the ankle.
As we crossed a very busy downtown street (during rush hour, no less) I somehow managed to get my heel caught in the grate that was conveniently placed in the middle of the street. Since the shoes buckled on, I couldn't just slip my foot out to free myself, and my skirt was too short to just bend over and unbuckle the damn thing without putting on a show for the multitudes of passing motorists...
Finally, one of the band boys noticed that I had fallen behind and came to my rescue, pulling the heel (which broke!!) out of the trap, and carrying me across the rest of the street... Seriously embarrassing.
