and i dont remember a thing. i was out before i even had to open my mouth. apparently they clean your back teeth up to make sure that there's no tartar or anything that goes in the holes and most people are awake for that but i didnt even make it that far ( Read more... )

I remember the happy gas and thinking "Meh, is this really going to knock me o- oh hey, my teeth are gone." :)

And they give you back your teeth so no one can use them to ensorcell you!

that's how it was with me too! except i woke up during the operation while they were finishing up and i rolled my head over and saw the teeth on the little table thing. and i said "oh goody, now they're gone. i want pizza!" then next thing i remember i was in another room saying "no that's ok, my car is in the parking lot, i'll drive....mommy....what are you doing here???"

they gave me gas at the beginning to take the edge off. then i got an iv in my arm and got a quart of gatorade as the dr. called it. then they gave me a drug that made my butt itch (it was to keep the swelling down). then they gave me the sleepy drug. i remember him telling me he was giving me another dose and then i dont remember anything else. he called a little while ago to check on me and he said that he had to wake me up a few times when he was cleaning my teeth but i definitely don't remember.

p.s. we had to go look up the word ensorcell.

my mom said i'm supposed to make a necklace out of them.

my dr. said i'm supposed to put them under my pillow and then the tooth fairy is supposed to bring me flowers or jewelry.

and i have two intact teeth and two that they had to slice into pieces, probably my bottom ones since they were impacted.

this morning i dreamt that i went out to eat with my whole family before getting my teeth out and then i took my toothbrush and my floss to the dr.'s office. (of course you aren't supposed to eat after midnight before the surgery so the sleepy meds don't make you sick).

nope, no pictures...

everyone keeps laughing at me when i tell them about having the ice tied to my head. the dr. actually told me to use old panty house...at least the ribbon was sparkly.
