yea so yesterday i was at work from 3pm-10:20pm. i was scheduled 3-8 and there was some sort of an emergency and one of the managers had to leave. so she asked me if i could stay until 9 and i said that was fine. well as soon as she left the other manager said that i had to stay until close. well my plan had been to work 3-8 then get my check ( Read more... )

yea, that sucks about the kid. I was in Hallmark last week (gasp...alas, I am a traitor) and this little girl accidentally ran into me while ballet dancing. I didn't think it was a big deal, but her mother screamed "How dare you hit that lady!" and then began spanking her quite viciously. I wanted to cry, I couldn't even look at the little girl, who was tearing profusely at this point. I didn't attempt to reason with her mother because I didn't want her to lash out at me and claim that I had no right to tell her how to raise her child. I did manage to whisper to the little girl that it was alright before I turned the other way. Till this day, I still feel guilty.
