Well .. we are freaking out aren't we? I know that I am .. But this article made sense to me, I mean her explanation because I can understand her thinking ... However I am still not happy with what happened but let's analyze some of the points that I agree with ...

Wow...I'm really impressed that the GA writer was thoughtful enough to write such a well-reasoned, patient explanation. That's kind of neat. :-) At least it's good to know so much thought goes into the writing process...sounds like they really care what the followers of the show think.

Yeah, I'm with you about the impending doom re; Meredith & George's "romance", not looking forward to all the angsty ugliness. It'll probably be pretty sad. But then, maybe that'll be Meredith's wake-up call. She's so seriously messed up.

And I am impressed by them as well ... They do not have to do that, explain their reasoning behind certain storylines and plots but I love that they do it because I write fanfiction and I can appreciate the thought process and the reasons why they make the decisions that they make even if I don't like what happened it completely makes sense to me.... It made sense to me when it happened as well due to all that Meredith had gone through not just in that epi but previously but I was still like Noooooooo.... It just felt good that the writers understand our freakout and knew it would happen lol

I like the Fins, its just that 2 Rangers are on the Russian squad and their Team Captain, Kovalev, used to be a Ranger and I love watching their young guys like Ovechkin, Malkin and Kovalchuk ..... But I love Teemu Selanne so if I am in a way ok with whomever comes out on top lol

erm. I say, fine about the writer's explanation. For me, they didn't even have to explain it becuase it was already obvious why Meredith went for George... I mean, DUH! LOL. I suppose they just wanted to defend themselves or sort of justify why they did what they did. Still for me, it was INCEST!

LOL I totally understand you incest thing because that's how I felt, my literally crawled when she reached for him and took of his shirt ...

However, saying that and knowing that I still do not like what happened, I appreciate that the GA writers and producers take the time to actual let us know their thought process and reasonings behind their decisions... Perhaps because I write I find reading this stuff fascinating and awesome .... I don't know lol

Well Mer's actions do seem to make more sense now, but still I can't help but think this might ruin her friendship with George, and hurt them both, which would just suck.

As for who to cheer for? You're a goalie Matty, so I have feeling you'll be cheering on Sweden. ;o)

I honestly don't know... I do love goalies and he gave an interview yesterday and looked so HOT with that charming smile of his and the confident aura that surrounds him that I just wanted to melt right then and there ... But then I have been on an I LOVE JAGR thing and I just cannot shake him so talk about double edge sword .... Sweet Torture is what it will be....

I was dissapointed in team usa and the red wings are scattered all over the place ... I'll be supporting Sweden tho cause we have 4 players on that team and I absolutely love Lidstrom and Zetterburg. I am with you on the Russians tho Datsyuk is playing for them and he is a dream to watch on ice ... still its a hard pill to swallow that USA didn't make it....

I didn't feel any emotional connection with team USA this time around which made watching their listless play and lack of joy and passion(like the Russians, as an example or the Fins, Swedes, and Czechs) so I think they deserved what happened and I cannot believe Modano's childish comments afterwards

Modano made it all about money is what it sounded like ... and his whine about them having to pay for everything ... gah! its the thrill about representing your country not about the money! Thats just greed there no patriotism or sportsmanship whatsoever

The only thing that I could understand about his whining was that ok .. if the players do not have to worry about setting up travel plans and stuff for their families(like the Canadians for example) then that's one less thing they need to focus on ... I wonder if he worded it wrong because he apologized after saying he was more frustrated with the coaching staff than anything else and spoke out of the heat of the moment ... Like I do not think they mind paying for it as long as USA Hockey takes care of making all the arragements is what I think he meant, I hope it was that because he makes more than enough NOT to complain about that ...
