Yes, a real post

Well, for my first real update in a while, I guess I’ll start by telling what-all I’d like to update about. Yeah, sure, I know. What-all isn’t a word. Bite me ( Read more... )

Thank you for updating! It's good to know what you all are up to. As far as what-all goes, I figured that must be a Texas word. It seems impolite to attack people on their vocabulary choices anyway -- especially on their first post in ages.

Ah - now that I looked at your Orion link, I understand the references to PDR in your twitter posts!

There is so much in this, that I don't know what to respond to first (oh, wait, I just did, above, regarding the "PDR" - never mind).

I'm glad you are having a good time w/your exchange student. How unusual to welcome a stranger into your house, and have them get along. I hope she's enjoying the learning process, as is Burgundy.

And your financial independence is always a thing to marvel. We've got the house mortgage also but, alas, it looks like I might need to take a loan to get a car in the spring. sigh.

Thanks for posting!

Ah yes. I bombarded you all with NASA-speak. I'm sorry!

Burgundy and Julia both seem to be enjoying themselves. Burgundy is OVERWHELMED between band, a college-level "social studies" course, and 11th grade algebra II. I'm having to do as much hands-on parenting now as I did when she was 3. It's weird and kinda cool.

11th grade algebra II!!!! I was overwhelmed and I was in the 11th grade! [loved it, but it's a lot.]

And it's got to be so great that she knows her mom's there to help. awwww.

Don't worry about NASA-speak. First of all, I do it w/preservation speak to, um, everybody; and secondly: it's frickin' NASA, and that strikes me sometimes as just so cool. I know somebody who works at NASA! Which I think every time I see the stickers you sent to me a few Christmases ago.
