Budget

We just did the budget tweak for this Friday's paycheck and the rough-up budgets for November and December. We will have Mark's student loan completely paid off in under three weeks. This makes me giddy

I hadn't heard of Financial Peace University before. It sounds like it is worth the money.

Oh yes - worth every penny. I think we had saved a thousand, paid off $3K, and bought a $900 road bike by the time we finished the class.

It's a really wonderful feeling. I can't believe that we've paid off so much. It felt like just nothing, so when I added it up while writing this entry, I whooped! Then ran in to show Mark. I had no idea we'd come this far.

Right now it just seems we keep getting further and further behind. Of course, only one of us works and he'd probably make twice as much if he were in the corporate world, but then his job wouldn't be nearly as secure either.

Congratulations! There's no other feeling like paying off a huge debt... what a weight off your shoulders! Good work.

It really has been very cool. The most surprising part has been how liberated I've felt EVERY TIME we finished paying one. One of the coolest moments was getting the title to my car in the mail. Just WOW!
