All right... I think the line that threw me was when Bruce asks if Charlotte is upset (Detective #1), he replies: "Well, my distress meter has been malfunctioning lately, but I'd wager about the same, sir."

Coming that close to the hologram malfunction, plus I don't recall Alfred referring to himself in such robotic terms before... Maybe I can just chalk it up to the overall shitty writing in this issue and be done with it.

Because I'm an idiot, every week I go to the store, intending to only buy a few books. And every week they only have one or two that I wanted, so I immediately buy a couple of OTHER books that had been "on the bubble". I read those, get impatient and then immediately buy digital copies of the ones I ACTUALLY wanted but couldn't buy locally. Now, I'm sitting there, in front of the PC, purchase window still open, in the mood for more. The next hour is spent buying one additional shitty book at a time until I've blown $40 and feel mounds of buyers remorse. ANYWHO, the end result is that I've read everything so far (and will likely continue to do so because I am an idiot ( ... )
