What bothers me is that there are deep, long-term damages done, that will most likely more than one administration to fix. Dubya made generation changes in how the executive branch operates. They didn't worry about the big, public stuff. They went right to where the roots of the departments run, and made the changes there.
So, President Obama is going to have his work cut out to just bring us close to neutral. I'd say his job will be to merely get us back to middle ground, fixing the foundations. Then whoever is next in eight years can start with the real fixing job. - Soulie
