So, what's on your must-see list these days?

May 19, 2013 21:20

Since Prison Break ended (I *still* haven't watched all of the Final Break), I haven't found anything else that makes go quite the same level of fangirl crazy. I haven't been actively looking, to be fair, but I fell into PB accidentally when my husband decided to watch it, so accidentally is how most of these things happen, right ( Read more... )

otps make me happy, i love tv, not enough time in the day

Castle- glad you're enjoying. When it's on song, it's a great show.

Person of Interest is great, intriguing and well acted. Slightly over the top but worth it for the bromance between Finch and Reese

Arrow. Yes, I said it- Arrow. From an extremely shaky start, this has become absolute appointment TV for me. The only bad point is Katie Cassidy, but every other actor and character has purpose. Stephen Amell, initally thought by many to be purely eye-candy, is a very good actor, pulling off three versions of the same character (at different points in his life) and making each one believable.

Elementary- must agree. Brill, brill, brill.

Game of Thrones- have never watched, but Jamie/Brienne together are GOLD.

Oh, I forgot about Arrow! It's just started here, about three episodes in, and we've been watching it. Is Katie Cassidy Laurel? If so, I agree with you. Terrible, terrible acting, lol! Stephen Amell is FINE. :)

This is funny because every now and then, I post a list of tv shows I'm watching (not sure anyone cares but whatever, my LJ, my entries *g*) and I was about to do it.

I love Elementary too ♥

Otherwise...

Oldies: The Good Wife, White Collar, Suits, The Borgias (The Borgias and Suits have started or are going to start their third season)

New: Vikings, Rectify, The Americans, though I'm behind on The Americans

I'll catch up on Mad Men some day (maybe).

I haven't found anything else that makes go quite the same level of fangirl crazy
Same here. I'm watching a lot of things (a couple more than I listed, but I... watch from afar, let's say), but no urge to fic about them and no crazy fangirliness. I know from experience that the need to fic about a show doesn't happen very often for me - and ficcing is my main way to fangirl.

Heh, twins! :)

I am just loving Elementary. When I get around to renewing those extra LJ icons I'll have to go in search of some suitable Elementary icons. :)

A lot of shows I get interested in by seeing gifs on Tumblr, lol! Suits looks really good - are you still loving it?

A lot of the time I'm glad I haven't found a replacement for PB - that level of fangirling is exhausting in retrospect. I just don't want to care enough about a show to argue with strangers on the internet over it, lol!

I think I may win at the slowest reply ever?

Fangirling properly requires time and energy, items I lack a bit these days. On the other hand, when I'm smitten with a show - let's say the way I was with PB - I always find time and energy. Odd, huh? ;)

Still liking Suits, yes. No crazy fangirling about it, not even reading fic or anything, but I'm looking forward to the new episodes.

I know exactly what you mean - I see people passionately arguing/defending their ship etc and I have to admit that I can't be bothered with that these days. In hindsight, it's exhausting. But I miss it.

inspired by a naughty drawing by scribblecat, which felt like old times

Ahhhh! Those were the days of Tattooed!Michael and Gorgeous!Sara!!

I haven't found anything else that makes go quite the same level of fangirl crazy.

Nor me. :( The only other sort of love of my life is Tom Hardy and Inception fanfic but it's nothing like PB. :(

The Kiwis have just lost their last wicket to a run out!! Awesome!!

ZOMG Tom Hardy *high fives*

My only other sort of love of my life is Henry Cavill. Who happens to be 7 years my junior but whatever, LOL.

I saw Inception on the small screen, so it wasn't quite the spectacle it might have been, lol! Tom Hardy, though. PHWOAR.

*high fives* That epilogue plus The Final BS will never be canon in this household, that's for sure. LOL.

You know, I have wondered about Spartacus. I think you may have talked me into getting the first season and making the man person in the house watch it with me. He is still mourning the loss of his Sopranos, so that might just do the trick! Thank you! :)

Well, I just finished ranting about why I'm fed up with "Doctor Who". And sadly, no new fandom has grabbed me since my HP and DW heydays. That's partly due to work being overwhelming and me spending what little extra time I have on my current HP fanfic project.

I like "Big Bang Theory", but obviously not enough to remember to watch the new episodes on Thursdays. I've watched and more or less enjoyed "Sherlock" but am not desperately waiting for new episodes. Definitely not looking for "Game of Thrones" - I slogged my way through the first three books years ago before deciding there were better things to do with my time.

I'm mildly curious about "Downton Abbey" - as a historical costume drama it seems like it would appeal to me. But there's that "time to actually sit down and watch it" thing.

Oh, man. I hate Moffat and everything he's made my once beloved show into. Seriously. I also want to punch River Song in the face every time I see her, because I want Doctor Who, not Ab Fab. It makes watching the show tricky to say the last, so I pretty much gave up 2.5 seasons ago. :( I still keep up with what's happening, though, and I'm worried about what he's going to do with the 50th. Meep.

I've pretty much resigned myself to not watching the 50th and trusting Tumblr to give me pretty gifsets should there be anything worth seeing. I'd dropped the show after "A Good Man Goes to War"; when Amy suddenly realizing that it wasn't her baby she was holding left me -- the most sentimental sap with child-endangerment triggers -- cold...that was a very big message to stop watching. Mr. Bead is still doing his podcast, so I was still semi-aware of some things and he pushed harder to get me to watch this season because he was enjoying Clara/Jenna Louise Coleman so much. And I will give props to the actress for being a good actress, but this half-season has been all about Moffat (1) one-upping RTD in as many ways as he can and (2) finding a way to insert himself into every single era of Who. That is an ego that I cannot stand.

I hear you. I think I'll just keep rewatching my Nine/Rose and Ten/Rose dvd collection, because that makes me happy.
