Great exploration, I can't even remember the necklace to be honest, but that's good because you are creating something new from it that I no doubt enjoy more.

And yes, I think Rita and Sara could have been good friends.

It's absolutely perfect. I love how you've given a personality to Rita, you've made her someone real, and Sara's reaction to her and to Emily is spot-on. And these women do kind of share a connection, as Gretchen has hurt them both, though in very different ways.
I also, like, never read non-epilogue compliant, this was just too promising to pass on, and it was absolutely worth breaking my rules. *Re-reads*

I thought Rita was a great character in canon, and it was good to revisit her here. *g*

Your writing calms that anger that still lingers regarding the treatment of our pair. It makes me remember why I love them so, and be able to think of them without complete sadness and anger. I hope this doesn't sound dramatic to speak of the show as causing such, well, pain, pretty much. I am sure we have all heard people tell us that it is 'just a show', but I think I am in the company of those who know the flaws and naivety of this statement.
Anyway, thank you. Thank you. Perfection as always.

You are indeed. *hugs you*
Thanks very much for the lovely feedback. I'm very glad it helped, if only a little.

They left the neckline thing as an open-ending, which was crappy as the ending itself, so I'm glad to read a fic like that, and the fatc it's from you makes it even better!
I also liked those little notes about Michael's "death" and the scars, burned hands, twenty-three minutes, etc... and it made me wonder how would you write the scene when he sacrifices himself and then shows up after literally a while, because I'm sure you'd enjoy writing the happy ending (we all deserved, as much as them).
Powerfull!

I have always wanted to write it, from the moment TFB aired, but it's always been just too, you know, @#$^@$#^%@#$ for me to contemplate still. I hated it so much, it broke my fangirl heart, and I'm still working my way up to doing it, I think.
