Yesterday, despite being fuzzy-headed with cold and flu, I managed to buy two tickets to see The Stray Cats' Farewell Tour next February as a birthday present for my boy. He loves them to death and they're actually playing the weekend of his birthday, so it's all good ( Read more... )

Oh, I LOVE the Stray Cats - Brian Setzer - those pouty lips, that snarl, that growly voice... And I've got a dear friend who loves to swing-dance to the Brian Setzer Orchestra's "Jump Jive And Wail." There's no way a person could keep from at least tapping a foot to that music!

And, Setzer was on the Bob and Tom Show (they're a syndicated comedy team) and he was hysterically funny and incredibly articulate. Even managed to render Tom speechless (and that's a huge kudo in itself!)

Yep - Stray Cats. Have a great time at the concert. I hate you. I love you. Take pictures.

It's the original three boys - Brian, Slim Jim and Lee - and my husband is beside himself with joy. He's already nagging me about buying another pair of leopard skin creepers for him to wear. *facepalms*

I've had a big crush on Brian Setzer for many years now, so I'll be very happy to tag along. Plus, knowing all the words to the songs is always good at any concert. *dances*

I met Dale Ryder from BCO a few times, Sez. LOL.

Love those boys. I wasn't a groupie mind you, they were just local lads bout my age.

Tanks for posting this.

The wonderful Weller, who I keep missing at well when he is over here.

Here he is with Noel Gallagher - That's entertainment. They are great together.

I hope the boy is happy.

I also love Paul Weller and I absolutely love 'Walls Come Tumbling Down.' Don't share the love for 'Stray Cats' sorry, but I understand their appeal.

I know it's WRONG to use your journal this way, but I have the double turn table set up this afternoon for the kids (well for me) and I am scratching 1981 - Into the Sun (you know the old compilations?) and this song ROCKS - you might hate it, but the beat is still pristine.
