I like the idea of retracing their steps and finding safety and connection in the old routine. Getting back to the roots of their bond. Also, initially I would say that a S4 reunion would be, you know, chemistry, fireworks and bliss but then when I read your take on this, I realized that there is still so much left unsaid between them and it's really like a house of cards. It could go either way, we just don't know how they are going to bridge the gap and find the connection. But God I hope they will :)
Ahem *blushes* Me thinks this could be like a multi chapter fic thingy? *winks* Oh the possibilities !!

I don't know if you are an X-Files fan as well, but I am...and "redux" is the name of a two-parter beautiful ep of S5 of the X-Files, so just the title alone means a lot to me.
I am an X-files fan, lol! It's been ages since I've seen Redux, but now you've inspired me. 'Redux' is a word that's used often in fandom, mostly for writing challenges that take people's original fics and rewrite them with a different twist (with their permission, of course). To me, it means going back and doing something over, keeping some things the same, changing what needs to be changed. :)
I have the utmost faith in WM and SWC to keep their characters' emotions on track and true to themselves.
Multi-chapter? Oh, be gone with you, lol! *g*

Until then, I can’t
Broke my heart for the 123 896th time !!! lol
he turns his head and presses a kiss to her wrist, just above the cuff of her sterile glove, his lips soft and smooth against her skipping pulse. Her heart leaps into her throat as he closes his eyes, and she can't help wondering if he's trying to memorize the sensation of her skin beneath his mouth. It's an impulse she understands all too well.
Awww Sweetest thing ever !! and soooo Michael !
You are so good at putting words on things...I was picturing the scene in my mind the whole time I was reading...and that was a very pleasant thought !

Thank you very much. To be honest, I've always felt as though I've been cheating since I've been writing in this fandom. These two fictional people are *so* well defined by the actors, it's no hardship to try to write them in character. *g*

So I always wondered if at some point when they're reunited if she will take a look at it and play dr. again. I also like how you had Michael explain where it came from, and her reaction, well done.
I hope so. No only is Sara a doctor (something she will never stop being), but this is the man she loves. I think it would be an instictive thing for her to want to check up on all those things. *sighs happily*

I completely agree.

So, yay!
Furthermore, this:
This is what they've been dancing around since the moment they met, she thinks dazedly. This moment, this feeling of his body against hers, this certainty of lust and tenderness and a longing that goes way beyond any demands of the flesh.is exactly why I like your writing, because you always manage to beautifully tie in the emotional aspect of the physical attributes of love. I always believe it with the way you write these two (and other pairings you dabble in from time to time) that they don't just WANT each other. They NEED each other, and it's just so lovely and achingly sweet ( ... )

You know, I only remembered that after I started writing this, lol! I hope that helps you forgive me for not yet finishing your birthday fic? *makes bambi eyes at you*

God, thank YOU. That's always been very important for me to try to convey. It's more than just sex, and it's more than just emotional attachment - it's both of these things at once, all tangled up together, and that's what makes their relationship so well-rounded in my eyes.
Again, thank you so much.
