Warning. Spontaneous Fangirl Combustion Imminent

Mar 22, 2008 20:03

So, according to the media, the next season of Battlestar Galactica starts on April 4th and Doctor Who Series Four starts on April 5th.

Alrighty, then.

It will come as no surprise to learn that I've cleared my social calendar for that particular weekend.

*bounces*

bsg, doctor who, fangirling is a fulltime job, squee

I am absolutely giddy. Not since the S2 premiere of Prison Break have I been this bouncy about a premiere.

I *know*! There is going to have to be rewatching of the last couple of eps to refresh the memory, I think. I mean, how long has it been?

Too frakking long. And I didn't even watch seasons 2 and 3 until after the hiatus started.

After months of the televisual wasteland that was the writers' strike, I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that amount of awesome being unleashed all at the same time. I'm afraid my reflex for processing amazing television has atrophied. And you know, originally I was super irritated by SciFi Channel's decision to split the last season of BSG into parts, but now I'm glad that this isn't the end just yet and it'll be back next year.

Yes. At this point I'm channeling Bart Simpson and massaging my temples with my fingertips and muttering, "Pleasure overload!" *g*

I'm all for split seasons, actually. It makes the show last a lot longer.

Wow that means on the Sat I will get last Torchwood of the series and BSG! Awesome. Then Sun Doctor Who :)
Absolute pain in the complete arse that I have to work all day Sat from 9 till around midnight, (so no bandwidth for the dls) then some time on Sunday morning (hopefully bandwidth is a go as I *should* be just baby sitting the computers whilst testing occurs). So Sunday afternoon - MARATHON!

I love that we reorganise our schedules around these things. When Who is on, I get up v.early on a Sunday morning, get things 'started' on the computer, then go back to bed. By the time we're up and having brunch, it's time to watch. It works out very well, and is a nice change from sitting up late at night, lol!

Aha. That happened last time, didn't it? Has Torchwood been confirmed for a third series?

Nothing's coming to mind, but I think we would have heard if it had been canceled.

I have heard some mind-numbingly stupid rumours that sound like something that retard Chibnall would think was a good idea, and as I can't see them squeezing that into a final episode it's likely rumours for the new season.

Wait, rumours about Torchwood or Who? I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to Torchwood.
