He’s never taken fashion advice from someone who insists on wearing a baseball cap with everything, and he sees no reason to start
OMG, this line just had me in stitches girly!
Candy is going to love this fic. Hurry up and write the second part.

Heh. Thanks. It's Michael's own fault, of course.

Poor Veronica, dealing with that and on a boiling hot day wearing that huge robe. The whole time I was wondering when she will get to take it off to cool down. They wear clothes under them right?
Happy Birthday to Domfangirl!

Happy you liked, and I don't know about being hilarious, but I'll take it. *g* Thanks, matey.

I have said it before and I'll say it again-I would read the fine print on a loans document if I thought you had written it.
The quality of your writing never changes, no matter what you turn your hand to. The characters are always written true to form and you always set the mood beautifully. Looking forward to the rest.

I have no idea where I'm finding the time, hence this being split into a two chapter story rather than one long one that will take me all week to finish, lol!

OMG, Jen I love this fic on so many levels. The brotherly love and relationship that you always write so well, the love between Vee and Linc, the sibling thing between Vee and Michael, the blond hitting on Michael LOL, the tragedy of Vee's homelive and the fact that she was determent to make something good of her live in spite of that.
Feeling outmaneuvered on two fronts, he gives up, knowing that objecting would only be fighting a losing battle
“Hey Ronnie, want me to take a picture of you with your family?"
With these two lines you really said it all IMO.
He’s never taken fashion advice from someone who insists on wearing a baseball cap with everything, and he sees no reason to start now
Brilliant!!!LOL
Happy Birthday domfangirl

Eeeeep. I am, as always after reading your comments, feeling all sheepish and 'um okay', lol! I'm so glad you like how I deal with the other characters, because although Michael/Sara pretty much consumes me, I really enjoy writing the others.

The interaction between Lincoln and Thomas Donovan is amazingly written. The passage where Thomas says:
“You hang out with losers long enough and you’ll never be anything but a loser. Best thing you ever did was to dump this one’s ass.”
is really telling, and is enough to make me want to throttle her father, let alone Lincoln. Your Lincoln is very likable, unlike the way canon has made him into a machine who stays with a baby girl rather than his brother at the end 3.13
Great chapter and writing. Looking forward to reading the next.

The Journey CD is actually playing in Lincoln's apartment while they're having pizza, but if they'd drived to Waco, you can bet he would have inflicted it on Michael in the car as well.
I also love that you see this from Lincoln's perspective. I didn't expect that - how unpredictable you are
I guess you were expecting Vee's POV, then? I did consider that, but seeing as Lincoln is the one who famously 'pushed everyone away', I thought it would be intriguing to see this from his POV.

You know, I have no problem with Lincoln staying behind to be with LJ, because if I were him, I wouldn't let LJ out of my sight again until he was thirty. But yes, the Sofia thing stucks in my craw quite badly, as the saying goes.

See, I didn't really read, just wanted to see my name in your journal and pretend I liked your fic
lol - me lack comprehension.

Gosh! Could you imagine having Sofia sticking in your craw? I think you would need a LOT of reconstructive surgery.
Also, imagine if she was stuck in your (Maxwell Smart-like) claw? "The craw, the craw". I reckon Lil Soph stuck anywhere would be a right pain in the arse due to the plastic she wears about her acting
I still liked the chapter, even if I didn't understand the Journey.
