Adore the cranky Sara, the hopeful Michael, those Burrows boys and what I love the most was the way you brought us into the scenes, it's all so clear and I love the imagery of the inside of the church (from both Michael and Sara's stories)sitting in the back together like turtle doves with the candles lit up ahead and the choir. And also of them playing with crackers after church, and then the end in front of the Christmas lights together. I loved those three things in particular. On a lighter note I also adored the danger that Linc and Michael were in when the rum was gone. EEEEP.
You gave them a happy Christmas and I don't care if it's classed as fluff (though it's a nice balance I think) because that's what I'm after right now. They deserve it. Hell yeah they do.

I'm so glad you like this - I wanted to give them a nice first Christmas, but of course it wouldn't be without its own special drama. They *do* deserve it, and canon as it stands now can bite my Christmas-wrapped butt. *g*

And thanks for the cracker crown/skin/shenanigans!

I also love that they find a way to navigate the angst that will follow them for a long time, with a grace that really highlights the solid relationship they've forged.
Oh, so do I! They've got some fabulous conflict resolution skills, these two. I love making them have 'normal couple' fights, because I know what else lies beneath the surface and it makes it all the more important that they do whatever they can to work through their issues. *loves them*
And thanks for the cracker crown/skin/shenanigans!
Heh. Merry Christmas, my dear. *g*

There are so many great moments: LJ's and Sara's grief, Michael's perfection, The Church, the swimming and of course the end......
There were times when he was so very afraid she would become one of those lost souls, a memory to be mourned for the rest of his life, and the thought of it still has the power to chill his blood.
Shivers down my spine.

Anyway, enough of me going on and on. Thank you so much for the kind words, and do you realise you put The Church in capital letters? *snickers*
