I didn't want to believe the rumours because I didn't want to get my hopes up, but the BBC has confirmed it and it's not just a cameo in one ep, it's three whole episodes and my goodness, I think I need a cup of tea and a lie down, lol!
Now, all I need to do is get TPTB to write that the head in a box belonged to the Morgue Lady and have JKR's Epilogue of Doom unwritten, and I'll be a happy fangirl. Hee.
It will be an interesting set of plots with three companions! I trust that the crew will make it work no matter what people think :) I just hope that when it comes to the 'awards' time (you know those British TV Show and People Choice awards) that it's Catherine that gets the 'Season 4 companion' acknowledgment not Freema or Billy - they've had their big spotlight time :)

Wordy McWord on the second, and yes to the first in sympathy.
I am excited, but I am also very leery. I don't want Rose back in some half-ass way (hologram projections, shape shifting alien, etc.) nor do I want her back only to have her and the Doctor ripped apart again. My husband's wish-fulfillment storyline would be for the Doctor to somehow be cloned in the next regeneration and Ten gets to go with Rose back to the new dimension and live happily ever after while we see Eleven get going with other companions.

Oh, my. Perhaps your husband and mine should get together for a talk about Rose. My husband, the non-shipper, non-fanboy, told me in the car on the way to work this morning that he thinks that Rose and Ten were the best couple ever. This from a guy who doesn't watch any romance movies. Ever.
