I had a blue flowery one (also with fringes) and dark fugly green flowery drapes. I remember the 70s as the era of non-matching patterns and colours LOL. Also a lot of ugly macrame plant hangers and lots of depressing browns.
(I think the BBC tv serie Life On Mars is visual very realistic)
But it was a great era to grow up in.
The lasting colour influence in my life from the 70s is PURPLE (see my name). I always wear purple or black (influence from the 80s) clothes. My obsession with the colour purple is so bad that nearly everything in my life is purple: clothes, make up, home, my business, you name it.
I always thought the colour was magical and so beautiful and obviously i still do.
As for the Bay City Rollers, lets just say that there is no photographic evidence that i was ever a fan.
